I'm a visual designer with 5 years of experience working in fast-paced retail environments. My design style favors a user-centered approach, where there's always room for iteration & imagination. I hold a Bachelor's degree in industrial design, so I always wear a problem-solving hat. I thrive working alongside passionate & strategic thinkers and I live to find that sweet spot where business goals and memorable customer experiences meet.

Empathy
A user, my cat, or the image in MS Word that doesn't want to align properly — they all have stories. I listen, learn, understand & empathize. (sometimes maybe a little too much).
Function
The pretty kettle that's handle gets too hot for you to comfortably pour boiling water... These are the things I have nightmares about. It needs to work perfectly!
Humility
"A modest or low view of one's own importance; humbleness". That definition always makes me smile. Work hard, have fun. Pause to breathe. Apologize when we're wrong. Be kind. Smile :)

I'm baking something
More often than I'd like to admit I sit on the floor in front of the oven and just watch it bake. Satisfaction is witnessing the slow rise & then slight fall of a cake, knowing I get to eat it soon.
Hiking a new trail
I've never gone for a walk in nature and come back feeling worse than when I left. Fresh air, pretty trees, sun, conversations with friends. It just always makes me feel good.
